Becky was most recently the assistant coach at the University of California at Santa Barbara. Prior to that she was the assistant coach at UCSD where she worked primarily with the hitters, infielders and outfield, as well as assisting with recruiting. Prior to her collegiate coaching debut Becky spent the two years coaching the So. Cal. Stealth 18-u gold travel ball team. For years she has assisted in coaching many camps, clinics and private instruction.
Born and raised in the “wet” Pacific Northwest, Becky spent her collegiate career playing for Teresa Wilson at the University of Washington. Being a Husky starter for four years Becky made her way around the field, playing every position but pitcher. Becky was a team captain for two years and was the first in Husky history to play in the Women’s College World Series all four years, `96 through `99, finishing second twice and third twice respectively.
While wearing the #9 uniform Becky received three NFCA All-American honors, numerous Pac-10 and All-Regional honors along with being named the Pac-10 Co-Batting Champion in `99 with a batting average of .461. That same year Becky was awarded the U of W Female Athlete of the Year and was voted Washington States Female Sports Star of the Year, chosen among collegiate, Olympic and professional athletes. Becky received her degree in Sociology from Washington in the spring of 1999.
